Joe & Michelle Sikkema, Owners

Johannes (Joe) Sikkema DPT, PT, MASM, Cert-DN

Joe Sikkema received a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Brock University.  He then completed a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine at California State University of Fresno. Upon completion of his Masters degree he was accepted into Loma Linda Medical University where he completed his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.  While attending school Joe was also able to play Division I Volleyball at both Brock and Fresno State which gave him a unique perspective on dealing with high level athletes and their injuries.  For the last 10 years he has specialized in Out Patient Orthopedic Therapy with an emphasis on manual therapy.  He is certified in Manipulation, Dry Needling, and other manual techniques to assist all patients with all levels of discomfort and pain.  While completing his Doctoral Degree Joe also won the award for excellence in research, specifically in the area of Vestibular dysfunction, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Concussions.  For this reason Joe is competent in handling the most complex of medical cases and can assist both patients and families with the issues that arise from these serious conditions.  

Michelle Sikkema will most likely be your first contact with us here at Apex. She will give you a very clear idea of your insurance and make every step of the process user friendly.

When Joe and Michelle are not in the office assisting and treating patients, they love spending time together with their three children and can be found skiing, hunting, hiking, or traveling our beautiful planet.

Ashley Wooldridge, PT, DPT

Ashley Wooldridge received her bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. She attended the same university to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She began her career as a Travel Physical Therapist then worked in Arizona where she focused on outpatient orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain and neurologic and vestibular disorders. Ashley is certified in dry needling and has a special interest working with individuals with Parkinson's Disease to improve their quality of life and confidence in home and community activities.

 

She discovered a passion and appreciation for the Northwest region and has found a sense of home in the Flathead Valley. Outside of work, you can find Ashley hiking, backpacking, kayaking, fishing, or sampling any and all local food recommendations.
